Photography became part of my life during a season of loss after experiencing the heartbreak of losing a pregnancy. I desperately needed something to keep my mind occupied on something other than the ache that filled my body. Experiencing this loss with the combination of learning photography gave a whole new meaning to photographs for me.

Now, becoming a mother myself has given that journey an even deeper meaning. Experiencing loss, and then later motherhood, alongside learning photography completley changed the way I see photographs. They are more than images to me-they are a way of holding onto the moments that pass too quickly, preserving connection, and honoring the beauty and fragility woven through every season of life.

Over the last year I've realized the sessions that stayed with me most weren't just about beautiful photos. They were about preserving a season that passes far to quickly-the anticipation of meeting your baby, the tiny details of newborn days, the connection between a mother and her children, and the beauty in every stage of becoming.

What once began from grief has now come full circle through motherhood photography. It has become a way to celebrate life, connection, and the stories that deserve to be remembered.

That's why I've chosen to lean further into motherhood photography- maternity, fresh 48, newborn connection, and family storytelling.
